CLEVELAND, OH — March 2016 — Windsor Wire LLC, (www.windsorwire.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sly Inc., a 142-year-old manufacturer of dust collectors and other air pollution equipment, has acquired the cage manufacturing operation for industrial environmental equipment formerly owned by Babcock & Wilcox.
Effective March 15, the acquisition will enhance Windsor Wire’s manufacturing and distribution processes. The new manufacturing plant, located in Williamsport, MD, joins Windsor Wire’s current manufacturing facility located in Mathison, MS. With the addition of the Williamsport facility, Windsor Wire will be strategically located and better positioned to accommodate customers by offering better freight options for shipping, timing, and delivery of baghouse filter cages. The newly acquired cage fabrication equipment will also increase the manufacturing capacities of Windsor Wire and provide its customer base with many possible solutions and customization of cage designs.
Eight employees of Babcock & Wilcox have joined the Windsor Wire team. Mike Still will now fill the role of General Manager for Sly’s, Windsor Wire division. “Mike Still and the entire Williamsport team are well known in the industry and are a great addition to Windsor Wire. We are very excited to join the skills, abilities and production capacities of our two locations to better serve our markets” said Steve Ragan, President of Sly Incorporated and Windsor Wire.
